You can easily save drafts, create a public preview and publish pages and posts.

Saving a draft allows you to work on content privately and make revisions before making it live, while publishing a page makes it live on your website.

Saving a draft

A draft is only visible to you and others who have website access. Visitors to your website won’t be able to see drafts until they’re published.

To save a draft, click the Save draft link in the upper-right corner of the page.

Creating a Public Preview

To share a draft page with stakeholders or content owners prior to publishing, you can enable a public preview. Locate and check that box. It will produce a link. This is the link you can send to people.

Publishing a page

Published pages should be complete and ready before going live. They represent finalized versions of your content.

This means Google will start indexing it.

To publish a page, click the blue Publish button in the upper-right corner of the page.

If there is a reason to take a page offline, you can Save as Draft. Users will see a 404 error message when they visit your page so be sure to redirect it somewhere temporarily like your homepage. (Contact Fulton Schools Web Services for assistance with a redirect.)
